| Baby Claus- his or her first picture!! at 9 1/2 weeks- 2.8 cm long. Pretty cute eh? I suppose i might be a little biased :) |
We are going to have a baby!!
Baby Claus is due December 31.
This ultrasound picture is from May 31- 6 weeks ago now! It was so amazing to see that little heart beating back then already. It left me speechless, actually. And a bit teary. That little heart, has already begun to beat- and will keep beating, and beating, and won't stop till God calls this little baby, or teenager, or middle aged person, or grey haired senior, back up to heaven. What a thought.
You created me in my inmost being
you knit me together in my mother's womb
ALL the days ordained for me were written in your book
before ONE of them came to be...
psalm 139
that really hits home these days.
So far, things are going really well. we are very thankful. I had a good first trimester with a lot of nausea but no toilet-bowl hugging, thankfully (except on the plane!).
so here we are, over a third of the way through. but i want to savour this.
grow little bean, grow!!

Hillary just told us this news yesterday! Super stoked for you guys. It's an amazing and blessed time!
WOOO HOOOO!!!!! Can't wait to see baby Claus when I visit in April. My money is on a curly red-haired girl :) Also, I second the comment about being the 1st 2012 baby! lol
That is so cool, Jen! Of course you becoming a Mum for the first time also means I'm gonna be a Grandad for the first time. THAT will take some getting used to.
It was quite something when you told us on Skype. You said Brian had a picture he wanted to show us. He slowly puts it up in front of the camera, and here's me thinking it's some fuzzy satellite view of one of his icebergs or something. Mum got it just like that.
(Hey, that iceberg thought only lasted about a half a second, just as he's raising the picture into view.)
