The rest of Christmas

Another Christmas has come and gone. We had a lovely celebration, I hope that you did too!

Our special Christmas Eve treats

Christmas Morning breakfast!

It was a very mild Christmas- here's John coming down the clear sidewalk, very proud of himself

Bronwen never wanted to go in the baby swings but she loves the 'big swings' and is fearless.. "higher. higher!"

New hats from Grandma and Grandpa Claus :)

It's Christmas Eve!

Here are a couple of pictures from our Christmas celebrations so far..

On Dec 17 we attended the ER Kids Christmas party. There were lots of kids, it was a great time! Here is John taking in some of the action...

Bronwen was swept up by the elf and placed on Santa's lap. Surprisingly, she didn't mind and was mostly interested in the 'Christmas Bear' in her gift bag..

We finally got Christmas tree on Dec 20! Here is Bronwen hanging some decorations...

Our annual gingerbread house

Very happy the next morning to see that the tree was still there.. I think that she dreamt that it disappeared overnight!

here's a funny little video for you all..

That's all for now. More to come. Merry Christmas everyone!

O Holy Night
The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of our dear Saviour's birth

Photo Recap

Time flies, it's already December! Blogging has kind of fallen by the wayside for me, but here's some pictures of our activities over the last month or so.

We went to the Remembrance Day Celebrations downtown. It was a beautiful crisp fall day. Newfoundland places heavy importance on Remembrance Day (as they should!) and with good reason- though the population is small the percentage of Newfoundlanders who fought in the wars was very high.

Watching the parade

This was a monumental evening.. Brian submitted his thesis to the Faculty of Engineering. 5 copies later... it was a large stack of paper. Now we wait until his defense in early 2015..

We went to 'Christmas at the Commiseriat', a celebration at one of the historical sites downtown, an old heritage house.

Bronwen was scared of who might be sleeping in this bed...

First snowfall!

Not as fun as it might seem apparently..

Sledding down the driveway.. just the right amount of thrill for the kids right now

Zoey's 2nd birthday! John and his lady friends..
